Technical Death Metal

I love the bass. It's just kinda hard to play you know what I mean? Especially when you're used to the guitar. Big ass frets, and you gotta press really hard.

I need some umm, effects for the bass though, because it sounds too plain, and the distortion on my amp makes it sound like a guitar. Would you recommend anything?

Do you play bass yourself?

I had Adhesion Aversion and don't remember being all that impressed. Do they have newer stuff out?

Apocalyptic Nature Fury is their newer one. I like it better... I know you like Sceptic a lot, this isn't that similar to it. It's more like brutal tech death... The bassist is mad... The music is kinda like Pavor but faster and more chaotic.

Definitely check out Sinners Bleed though, if you haven't!

not to hijack (i do that a lot :p)

need a tech death rec, just one band or one album

Hmm, let me see...

Get Psycroptic - The Scepter Of The Ancients

Cadaver-...In Pains. Download it(it's OOP), go to metal-archives and listen to the album with your headphones on while following the lyrics posted on the band's page. It will take a few spins, but this album is soul-snatching musical genius at its finest.

Bass is easier to play than six string electric guitar.

Actually advanced bass techniques are probobly harder to play than advanced guitar techiniques. For example Steve DiGorgio's (sp) shred bass is harder to play than sweep and shred guitar. Or it is imo. And btw I play both bass and guitar. Though I havn't picked up the bass in a good year.

Indeed, good album!!

If you could only get one tech death album, what would it be?
I'm not sure myself, I'm still a big noob at tech death.

Intestinal Strangulation is worth checking out if you want some brutality with your technicality. They aren't completely technical, but they certainly have technical parts. Their songs are lively and dynamic so it doesn't get stale. Definitely good stuff.
