That's actually a better year for my tastes than last year, although it hasn't felt like it as the year has progressed.

No, because I'm relieved that they didn't feel the need to populate the list with another frankly mediocre and over-hyped snooze fest.

Is 'Kill' really so good that it merits a spot at #27?

I haven't listened to Cannibal Corpse in ages (which is probably for the best) and I'm pretty surprised to see it there. Did they completely re-invent themselves and stop using recycled riffs or something?

Just asking...

That's actually...A really good list! Other than the inclusion of Sick of it All and Lamb Of God, but for a widely available magazine that's quite amazing.

I thought it was good. The riffs are so so, but the arrangements of the songs were redeemable; the instruments work well with each other. The intensity is the album's best quality IMO, as "The Time to Kill is Now" is one of my favorite songs of all time.

A found the new Lamb of God album mediocre.
