come on man, your image of hypermasculinity in metal is atually damaging the genre. you know, the only other genre to embrace a hypermasculine/ homophobic stance is hip hop/rap. and psychologists agree that it is born form fear of their own homosexuality.
honestly i'm not calling you gay, but don't be a homophobe and say that a brotherhood of metal is "gay". in the 70s/80s metal was something of scrutiny and fear. it brought those into it closer together. they all went through something together. it's like people who are oppressed always come out the other side stronger.
