not true. its easier to sing high than singing low. and because im a girl i sing softer than you:p
For a girl, yeah; for a guy it's usually the other way around. The difficult passagio for a girl is usually from mixed to chest voice. For a guy it's from mixed to head voice.
Either way, I'm a counter-tenor, I sing either alto or soprano in that fache -- still haven't determined that since I have been focusing mostly on my tenor voice.

So Hylian, what kind of stuff have you been singing? Sounds like you're really into it. :)

I'm trying to learn how to sing. :erk: I suck.

Hey there!
Well, I haven't been singing anything specific per se. I have individual classical singing classes; we basically cover all the technique involved, tune, etc.
I'm currently starting to work on Dream Theater - Another Day with my coach though.

Anyway, if you want to start singing, it's really a good idea for you to get a coach for a while. It doesn't need to be an individual one, you can try a choir or so. What you need is someone to help you learn how to place your voice correctly and not strain your voice. It's really important for you to be relaxed while you sing, you can't be tense.

EDIT:
Oh, and don't say that you suck. You probably don't know how to place your voice correctly. You'll really learn how to enjoy your voice a lot more once you learn how to place it and get some practice singing scales and arpeggios.

I was just listening to that song earlier today. Isn't that the veryvery high one? I was concidering looking for a teacher... I have a bit of a phobia of choirs though. :p

The reason I say I suck is that I've been playing music long enough to hear when I'm flat and it's kind of always... oh well. I'll keep trying.

Thanks!

It's not the song where he reaches his highest notes but he still goes pretty damn high anyway.

Yes, choirs suck. The thing is, it's quite important for you to have some proper singing classes; for a while at least.
