Blind Guardian - my favorite power metal, along with Edguy and Tad Morose

Blackmore's Night - not bad, but something I have to be in the moodto listen to

Angel Dust - what I heard sounded bland to me

Nocturnal Rites - I like what I have heard of their more recent work

Rage - kicking myself for missing most of their performance at ProgPower IV..."Invisible Horizons" OWNS...

Sacred Reich - their video for "Crawling" was hysterical

Dream Theater - what happened, guys?!?

Vanden Plas - so-so, but I haven't heard enough of them to make an honest assesment

Korn - Of all the bands called "nu-Metal" Korn is one of the few ones I don't hate, but I can't say I like them either, way too modern

Type O Negative - Boring, it's not too bad, but they just keep on doing the same thing and their songs are way too long

Blind Guardian - Great band, great musicians, great songs

Blackmore's Night - When in the right mood, great!

Angel Dust - What I heard was okay, didn't set me on fire enough to buy it though

Sacred Reich - Okay, nothing really special, but nice and old school

Dream Theater - Prog in capitals, and I hate Prog, so there you go. My best friend has their logo tattooed on her arm

Vanden Plas - Some good songs, just way too "proggy" for me

Riot - Good!

Demons And Wizards (hansi/schaffer side project) - Awesome, took me some time to get into, but their new stuff surpasses all of the recent material of both the musicians' bands!

Stormwarrior - Cliché, annoying and bad

Styx - Not great, but there are some good songs there. Great musicians!

Dead Can Dance - Haven't heard enough to judge them

Dragonforce - One of the few very popular Power Metal bands I can stand. 'Disciples Of Babylon' and 'Prepare For War' are among the best Metal songs ever written!

Nightwish - Great band, although they will probably never reach the level of 'Oceanborn' and 'Wishmaster' again. 'Once' was pretty good though!

Solewire - No idea

Brainstorm - Enjoyed their show at Wacken last year, Andy is a good singer!

Soilwork - Brilliant band, but I'm probably one of the few who still thinks that

Angel Witch - Brilliant band, Kevin Heybourne is awesome (what's in a name? )

Angel Witch - first album is a genuine classic, they had the potential to be where Maiden is today, but...

Hammerfall - stuck on repeat mode, that being said, I have friends who love them dearly. So to each their own.

Ayreon - almost too complex to listen to at times, though when this project is on, boy is it ever on.

Falconer - only heard the first album, which I liked, but overall I am saturated with this style of power metal.

King Diamond - opinion mixed. He's got some great concepts and can put together a band for sure, but I am only halfway there with his vocals. I suspect one day something about them will click with me and I'll love them.
