I'd say the best for me so far would have to be COB's HCDR...I spin it so often I love it. Probably best so far, and the new nevermore is up there too along with evergrey's recreation day.

I'm also gonna have to vote COB- Hatecrew Deathroll, though Opeth-Damnation is pretty close. Also Sonata Arctica-Winterheart's Guild is great, but not REALLY great.

I have high hopes for Iron Maiden's and Iced Earth's albums.

I can't make a definite choice... but Evergrey - Recreation Day, Ephel Duath - The Painter's Palette, and DTB - Accelerated Evolution are up there. Of course, things are very likely to change when Kayo Dot release their first album in October.

Only because I had lost it and really only found it again at the beginning of this year. So I count it as a new album for me!

I agree with every word in this post...2003 has been an inconsistent year so far, although three potnetial top 10s came out within the last two weeks (Nevermore, Dead Soul Tribe, Enchant).
