The Best Artwork

I never was a fan of the artwork for Persistance of Time. A bit too basic for my tastes. I think the best one has to be for Spreading the Disease. That was just incredibly well executed! State of Euphoria was good, and I love the stuff for Volume 8! The jacket alone was awesome!

Growing up The Farter loved SOE artwork, but TheFarter thinks that WCFYA is the absolute best Anthrax album/artwork/lineup/etc...

Spreding the Disease. I really enjoyed the artwork on the inside album jacket. The cartooning is classic Charlie stuff and, a great way to say thanks to the people working for and with Anthrax at the time.

STD was awesome. SOE (especially Mort Drucker's toons).
Worst cover Stomp (horrible!).

But in all honesty GO2E artwork was just killer!

2 Evils and Vol. 8. PoT cheesy, Among classic 80s metal, Euphoria cheesedick, Fistful cool concept but a bit amateurish, Spreading classic 80s metal (Ripka, right?)

That wasn't an Ed Repka. He used a heavier style and darker tones in his work, plus he was pretty bad at painting realistic human faces. I'm not too sure who the actual artist for this is, though.
Yeah, you're right....I've just remembered, I think it was on this board, someone posted a website of a graphic design company or something that had some work by the guy that did the Spreading cover. Fuck I can't remember what it was, exactly.

i think SOWN was the best. but does anyone know what the cover image is of?
it looks like a close up of something on a TV set but i don't know what!

i also really dug the whole POT concept and the way it carried through to the merch and packaging. (in my world picture disc!).
the winding clock on stage was also pretty cool.

I agree with The Farter.
Though POT was good too. And Music Of Mass Destruction.

I am the Law 12 inch because Charlie drew all the pics
WCFYA and MOMD because Alex Ross rules
