I saw them on this album's tour when they opened for Dio - that concert probably cemented my musical tastes for the past 25+ years.

Oh - and currently listening to MaYan - "Quarterpast" - this album is assaulting my ears, pretty vicious after listening to Amaranthe. Sort of like if Epica decided to emulate Therion... with strange contrapuntal dissonance contributions from Heinrich Schutz.

Orchestral Avante Garde Metal - yeah, that's it. Whatever - I now want to hear/see them live, because it will be mega-cool. And seeing Mark and Simone two nights in a row... just damn.

Listening to Galneryus' Phoenix Rising

Real good stuff.

Symphony X "Bastards of the Machine" - this song reminds me of when I first got into Maiden and AC/DC in the early 80's. Everything I loved about hard rock/metal, and everything my mother hated about it.

There is nothing about September 2012 which will not be Epic.
