The Dark Knight

I saw it on Sunday. Friggin' awesome. Gonna see it on the weekend at the IMAX cinema they have here. Ooh yeah.

No, didn't think Ledger was as good as everyone is making out, but then nobody could be that good.

I thought the Joker was played perfectly and did think that Ledger was as good as the hype.
If I went to see it agani at the cinema's, it would be to watch his performance again.
Every scene he was in was mesmerizing, from his lip licking to delivery of lines to walk and everything

But, the whole cast was great.

Yeah everything about it is awesome. Top movie ever in my mind, and is the highest rated film at IMDB with 9.6 (although that'll smooth over soon when people get over the buzz of the intial wow). The next top movie is The Godfather with a comparably small 9.1 which has stuck since its release 36 years ago and is the first time IMDB has seen any other leading film.

YEah its amazing how much money its made!

It was pretty enjoyable, I forgot how much fun those kind of movies can be. How annoying was Bale's Batman voice and how plain was Bruce's chick.. not the glamour girl expected and I felt she kinda let the flim down but Gary Oldman was great!

Just saw it again today, this time on the IMAX screen thing. Still a great movie, but I got there late and so my seat wasn't the best, so I don't know if I got the full benefit of IMAX.

SPOILER WARNING!!

I was wondering after the first screening if Scarecrow popped up again dressed as a cop/prison guard on one of the ferries, because there are only two quick shots of him, but the second screening confirmed it. I love little things like that!

****MORE SPOILERS****

Really Spiff?
I didn't notice that.
You think that is an indication that he will be back for the 3rd movie?
Strange....

Also, do you think 2 Face is really dead?

Also, do you think that Batman decided to go save Harvey Dent on purpose or Joker lied and switched up the 2 locations?
What you reckon they will do with the Joker character in the 3rd movie? He can't be recast surely....

Also... do you think Catwoman may make an appearence?
When Batman was talking to Alfred and he said the new suit wouldn't hold up to large dogs, but it would protect aganist cats... :)

SPOILERS!!

When Batman leaves the Joker and Gordon says, "Where are you going?" Batman replies, "Rachel" and so Gordon says to the cops to go to the address that Dent is at... but then later Batman tells Dent that they made the choice to save Dent over Rachel... dunno what that's about.

There's no way they'll bring the Joker back. Surely not.

Yeah that is confusing. I thought Joker switched the addresses...

They can't bring Joker back, I agree, but I bet they intended to before heath ledger died... I mean, Joker is still alive and one of the last things he said was 'We're destined to do this forever you and I' to Batman....
Maybe they will just have a simple shot of him in the asylum or something....

I think that the Joker was given the opportunity to appear in the next film but that decision is easily switched in light of Ledger's demise.

I think in the new darker, realistic world of Batman, Robin, Bane and Mr. Freeze and a lot of others characters wouldnt fit. There are only a handful of bad guys who would suit it, and I hope to see The Ventriloquist (without the puppet coming alive bullshit) and maybe Catwoman.

There has been some fanboy speculation about the Riddler, maybe making him an investigator dude trying to track down Batman and eventually going nuts. I think that's the only thing that could work, unless they go with the Penguin (yawn) or invent a new villain.

If they bring in the catwoman, it'd be the death of the franchise. Bev and I saw this last night and dug it; we were speculating on what'd be next. Hopefully 2Face survived, but if not then the Riddler would be interesting. Agree w/ Spiffo that the Penguin would be boring.

I'd love to see the manbat in a Batman movie...they could make it a long batman movie, or drag it out to a two parter.

CGI, they could have a Lumleyesque ball with the concept.

Yes, I noticed this, very cool. :D

Absolutely loved it. Totally loving Bale as Batman. And I have to say I do think Ledger was as good as everyone has been saying - he totally stole every scene. Such a shame we will never see him in anything again. :(

Things I do not want to see in the next one:

Catwoman
Robin

Other than that, I'm well up for number three. :D

I don't think I've seen a Batman film in its entirety. Would I enjoy this one if I didn't know any of its predecessors?

The first Batman was pretty good, the second was OK, the third was ordinary, the fourth was bad. Batman Begins was great. Yet to see the Dark Knight.

There are rumours in certain parts of the internet that David Tennant (the current Doctor Who) has been approached to play the Riddler in the next one.
