Im feeling weird there.. just came back from Wacken, had a blast.. on the other side I have an exam on wednesday Im not likely to pass gloriously.. if I pass at all. Arg
 
That sucks tal, good luck with it though, I'm sure it'll be alright you know.

NF: Listening to This Godless endeavor (purchased today (it came out over here today) )... So I feel fucking great... despite the morbid moods of the album... You know, this album is just too much for my mortal ears. A masterpiece is an understatement. We are not worthy :lol: .
 
Yea it's an amazing album.. though too "edgeless" if you know what I mean. For a Nevermore album it feels too smooth, too straightforward, too accessible. Then again, DHIADW is at least as accessible argued my friend, he had the truth of it, which settled the debate. I doubt there will be a better album this year tbh
 
i was waiting in line to see an emo show when the sky fell on my head, in the form of a rambunctious thunderstorm. this made me even more emo, but the show got canceled (it was supposed to be in the open air, but it looked more like open seas).
 
Haha, god does not look in favour of the emo scum :lol:... Shame that.

NF: Propper still going mental over new nevermore stuff. First thing I did this morning is put on my headphones and listen to sentient 6 and holy shit it nearly killed me. Like I said, it is too much for my mortal ears. This has been a fucking ace year for my favourite metal bands album wise. And @ Tal, I think this album is far far too morbid to be accesible. The Edge is maintained mainly through the subject matter, but also in the how smart all the songs are. Really it seems to me, if you look at My Acid words and properly listen to it, all you'll hear is a cutting edge, brutallity and a melodic underlying tone that's really quite emotive (I mean listen to the riff that comes after the second chorus... Holy shit, it over shadows that outro riff in User~Maat~Re) And the really sludgey intro and outro. Vintage Nevermore. But I don't really want to argue about it... you know... but yeah... It rocks... and stuff... so lets agree on that :p :worship:
 
feel terrible today, everything went wrong lately, even festivals cant make me happy like before anymore, wacken was great but some things happened that just put a bit of sadness over the good moments I had there... I miss my friends too, it was so nice to see them again in Wacken and now its all gone I miss them... I feel I need a change

Just started the Farseer Trilogy, my first experience with Robin Hobb. So far i'm really enjoying it, so i'll probably get stuck into whatever she has available. A nice escape from reality :)
 
@HD: I thought so, but there's still lots of kilometres from here (the very south of Sweden) to Finland.

@DL1: I feel sorry for you! Hope you'll find your peace again soon, I somehow can't stand to see such a nice person being sad all the time.

NF: Somehow bored but still good. Doing my exam in Swedish in 2 days and there's still too much vocabulary to learn...
