honestly...Opeth started growling in the early 1990's.... and there are bands that probably
growled before Opeth...

how the hell are you saying Atreyu, and also another...Atreyu doenst growl, they have this cheesy yell which really pisses me off. A reason why i dont listen to them....

I heard some of the early Death Metal bands took their vocals from where Lemmy left off.

As for blasting in Metal, a drummer friend of mine was watching an old Black Sabbath video and at one point he said, "Wow, check him out he's doing blast beats!"
