The Gaming Thread

Played through Alan Wake and all the DLC. More Cliffhangers in that story than there is here in New Mexico. Sexy story. Alright game play, though it unfortunately got redundant it wasn't enough to take away from amongst the best story gaming has to offer.

Btw Alan Wake is awesome i played it on a friend's xbox. Try it , it's made by the guys who made Max Payne.

I was quite upset when they cancelled** the PC version like 2 months before release. I had be watching it for months.

Anyone else planning to play Fable 3? I missed Fable 2 because it wasn't on PC but it's coming back for the third installment even though it's been delayed on PC. The first one was disappointing because it wasn't the open world everyone was promised, but rather a whole bunch of pathways across a medium sized world. Can't speak for Fable 2, but I am hoping that 3 will be much larger and give you more to do with your free time.

Currently replaying Fallout 3 with DLC's while awaiting New Vegas which is probably the game I have been waiting for more than any other in 2010. I made a sexy assassin style chick this time, work for money(lulz) and stay neutral with most situations. Take whatever pays best even though I really don't need the cash anymore. Took me about 15 minutes to get into bed with the first prostitute I found. Oh Bethesda I fucking love you for letting me do what I want in your games...

** - Fuck you spell-check, there is nothing wrong with "cancelled" it's correct and fuck the US for having their own idiot versions of common spelling!!!! Same with "Colour", that is the traditional long standing way to spell it, not color!! It's so frustrating being next to a country that is too lazy/stupid to spell things properly so they just force their way of doing it one everyone else, especially us near the border.

Fable 2 was enjoyable, and while it did have a lot of innovation as it promised, not nearly to the extent they promised it. Lionhead has a habit of offering the world but only giving a large continent, much like Steve Jobs.

This is why I plan on playing Fable 3, but have avoided reading much on it aside from what is unavoidable in my media outlets.

I was really excited about Max Payne 3, but I stopped hearing or reading news about it around 2 or 3 months ago so I don't know what's happening with it.
To be honest I'm not getting my hopes up too much, they seem to have moved away quite a lot from the first 2 games, which I absolutely loved. We'll just have to wait and see :p

Honestly it looks to me that max payne 3 has completely lost the max payne identity. Sure, it looks fun, but generic to boot.

Ahm yes.

i never got into fable, i tried playing the first one and quickly got bored :(

i think im going to buy fallout new vegas, its got more stuff in it, and FO3's story w as short and shitty, so this HAS to be better

Fallout 3's story is irrelevant, it's all about being a bad-ass and wandering the wastelands exploring :).

Max Payne 3 does look kind of lame actually. Not only does Max Payne himself look "too old for this shit" but I don't care for the new setting at all. Max Payne is supposed to be a gritty New York City style game... First two games were amazing though, especially the first one. I loved the writing and narration in the original.

Hells yeah! Fallout 3 is awesome! I hope New Vegas is equally awesome!

Though Max Payne 3 doesn't look as cool as the two first games, I will still buy it. I think it will be awesome. :')

And I can't wait for Call Of Duty Black Ops. :D

You've been to Birmingham too many times :p
I bought WoW, played it for a month since you get a free month when you buy the game, then stopped playing  That shit is fun but it takes too much of your time, like, going on instances and stuff.

You'll be pleased to hear my Brummie accent's getting less obvious now that I'm surrounded by people with American and Dutch accents all the time. :(
WoW's fuuuuun, even though it does take way too much time. It's actually something I like about it, the game just never ends. Stopped playing it for a year (mostly due to lack of money), am re-installing it at the moment, yaaay!

^536, without last boss... Damn that's hard... I quit the boss after like 10 minutes, and I have NO idea how the FUCK you did it in 161!!

Boss takes two clicks to kill, just get real close and then click once as he charges you and you'll hit him like 4 times in a row as you are backing up
