Yeah man Blizzard has been kicking ass with cinematics since warcraft 2 days. I always look forward to them, Diablo 2's were fucking amazing when it came out. Square-Enix knows their shit too when it comes to cinematics.

Me and a few friends have been waiting for a full length blizzard cg movie for nearly the entirety of our gaming careers now. Solid stuff, every time.
And yeah Belac, the cinematics are the ONLY good part of the final fantasy MMO, even as an MMO fan.

Can't be that bad really... I did wish for CG too, but I guess it's too much work for a whole film... They're going to make it long, or in two parts I think they said, that's a lot of animating. Also if you have seen Beowulf, then it will probably be like that, and I was disappointed about Beowulf... So either they have to do better CG than that, or live action

Beowulf was shittastic, however I have no doubt Blizz could out do it easily. The problem with live action = more outside hands touching the product, and with the video game to movie track record...I want to avoid that or not have it happen at all.

Shittastic? Maybe you are right that they can do it better. However, you are wrong that the game will affect the movie. They are of course using stuff from the game, but it is all part of the Warcraft lore. I can't exactly remember in what age they are basing it, but I think I recall that it is around WCIII

What about Wolfenstien 3D? That's an awesome game with few pixels. Sure the pixels are big, but they are few. :')
