^

question for my good pal jocke, is dawn of war 2 any good? for some reason i feel youve mentioned it before, but i could be wrong

I'm not Jocke but I once got in a fight with someone named Jocke so that counts

Dawn of War 2 is good if you like more of an rpg strategy. There isn't any base building or anything like that so if you liked the first one you may not care for the second. I personally can't stand a strategy game without base building or a sense of building an army but I understand DoW2 is excellent to those who don't care.

It is kind of cool because there is more emphasis on building up your commander/squad since everything carries over from mission to mission and there are lots of upgrades and equipment to play with as your squad grows. Still, if you are looking for a Starcraft or DoW1 type experience you will be disappointed.

DoW 1 for the record I love

Lol damn iPod

Second person I quoted....homo:) (jk though)

The original Warhammer games are much better than the computer stuff :P :D

i haven't played DoW2, i was probably speaking of Warhammer: Age of Reckoning :)

The new castlevania is a very pleasant surprise.
The force unleashed 2...combat was improved and had some fun moments, but the story was bad bad bad, and I beat the game in a mere 3 1/2 hours.

i wanted to try the first one

i cant see myself playing the second one, if its under 5 hours its barely worth playing much less buying imo. a buy is a 30 hour game minimum :p (multiple playthroughs included)

and i like the new castlevania too

Games that are only single player and take under 5 hours to beat shouldn't even be released unless the price tag says $10. Games with long development and short gameplay seriously piss me off to no end. In fact when I found out how short Force Unleashed 2 is I decided I'd never play it not even for free, it's clearly not even worth the space or install time. At least the first FU (:)) took around 6-7 hours but everyone is telling me FU2 (:):)) is 3 hours. Fuck that

Its a problem the gaming industry is running into as of late. In attempting to make games more cinematic they're shorting the experience greatly.

^ Also I blame console gamings rise and PC gamings stuttering on the length of alot of games these days as well. Games developed with consoles in mind from the get go have much less overall depth to them, as a rule of thumb.
