The Gaming Thread

i think often, reviewers miss the point. like they find framerate issues the average person never notices. i also find that they will look at a game that has no real originality (say the ever popular "god of war clone") and dismiss it, even if said game happens to do that sort of genre perfectly, while not exactly reinventing the wheel.

anyone know if homefront or divinity 2 (dragon knight saga) are any good? both are on sale on steam and im curious :)

The new Tomb Raider looks promising and looks astonishing but she thinks out loud way too much and she's too much of a pussy. They should change the voice.

best game ever

just finished ninja gaiden sigma 2. the first one was one of my early favorites for PS3...

camera is awful, with circling enemies it frequently ends up behind you so you cant see what your doing and sorta ruins the combat.....its not even hard....just not really fun and i did play on the highest difficulty allowed on a first playthrough

there are 3 girls you play as and one you dont, one girl gets a gem for ryu, another saves a small boy from their village (apperently so we know the village was burned) and the last.......literally.....has no impact on the game and never meets ryu.
the one girl you dont play as jumps in and out of the story pretty poorly, then somehow gets captured as this weird love interest of ryus.....it really doesnt make sense but i suppose whats a game without saving a princess

the bosses were mostly copies of each other, random fast guy who can fly, very large man like thing that bangs on the ground, and even larger fight with boss who is against some wall and smacks at you.
i actually beat the last bosses second last form using only one of the smallest healing items, and i beat the final form taking no damage at all, somehow my first jump landed me square in an unhittable zone and i promptly destroyed him in about 9 seconds >_>

bad game, bad game, bad game

^i can imagine, if it had blood instead of silly purple flames :p

a friend of mine played it on xbox before it came to ps3 and said it was crap. but i had faith

started playing ninja gaiden sigma 1 on ps3 today, love it. in fact i apperently have put nearly 60 hours into it

The next game is supposed to be the easiest one by far. Your comment on Sigma 2 suggests that maybe they forgot how to properly make a game difficult. IE Shit mechanics and controls to reach difficulty instead of thought and reflex intensive fights.
