I've just recently started to check out Dead island. I have been hearing about it for ages but I wrote it off due to the dump-truck of "zombie mode" and zombie games lately. It got boring like 4 years ago I thought, but I find zombies lame.

Anyways when I found out this one has RPG elements plus open world I got interested. I might check it out now

Nah. I used to think the same thing about zombie films....it never happens. I could watch zombie flicks ad nauseum and still be excited for the next one. Games have the bonus of being interactive.

I can't imagine a world without zombie carnage.

Speaking of that reviews for Dead Island are out, I expected it would be more polished, but still seams like a great game.

^i heard that too, but to be fair they arent a big developer and the game has been reworked a couple times.


i heard it is a bit buggy...i see people get very up in arms (not you scav just something on my mind) when a game has bugs day one. and sure that never happened on cartridges, but i hardly ever notice.
deus ex HR was real buggy day one, but if you bought it today youd never know. i dunno, as long as the single player kicks ass im down like a clown.
only 11 more hours until it unlocks

I heard the good things FAR outweighed the bad. I'm excited to pick it up tomorrow.

I read it plays like Fallout 3 with zombies

i might try homm 4 then, its cheap on steam

do it the only problem as i see it with the game (apart from some models being absolutely horridly ugly) is that it's pretty imbalanced, you'll see what i mean once you've tried playing as death (necropolis) and gotten 2-3 vampires

oh well, now that i have a gr00vey computer, can anyone update me on which high end, funny games i've been missing out on the last couple of years? i can finally play starcraft 2 on max now <3 and i'm thinking of trying to install neverwinter nights 2 again, maybe it WON'T lag now

This depends on your taste in games though. Lots of fun games with graphical goodness have come out.
