Dead Island would be much better if this ANNOYING fucking icon on the right didn't pop up every 5 seconds regardless of whether I'm in single player or not. I don't give a flying fuck if "jewscorpionwrench1" is nearby, I don't want to fucking join him!

Seriously not being able to turn that notification off really irritates me. In single player it still does it, and YOU CAN'T EVEN JOIN! It takes from the experience when things get really intense and suddenly I see some really stupid 12 year old name popping up everywhere.

Other than that, it's a great game. I've had a blast with it for the most part although I did have a bit of trouble getting it to start. It's a tad on the glitchy side still. lol

it's really not a big deal, it just pisses me off. I see the popup AT LEAST once every 4-5 minutes and it bothers me that a simple on/off option isn't there. I still love the game. Just felt like ranting when I saw the screenshot. lol.

As for the people person remark, I'm only complaining about the single player portion. If I wanted to join others I'd have started a multi-player session and at that point it would probably be somewhat convenient.

edit: I think it's just because it reminds me of Windows update (and other intrusive pop-ups) minimizing my fullscreen things to tell me "WE GOTZ UPDATES BITCH!"

It has been thoroughly awesome so far, though I don't know if i've actually completed any of the quests I've been given thus far...just been exploring after starting to do them XD.

WE NEED A ZOEY AND FRANCIS PEOPLE, COME ON!

:headbang: fuck yeah, we are a pretty good team already, couple more and we'll expert the shit out of that game :kickass:

i understand that, for what it's worth i finished dead island the other day (level 39) and it is a fantastic experiance weighed down by a questionable multiplayer (i did almost all of it SP, as you can imagine there werent many level 30+ in the first week hahaha) and a few bugs. i would definitely recoomend if you arent bothered by little bugs like oh say this

i cut a guys leg off mid run, and the leg got stuck and he got knocked back (legless obviously), nothing beats blood splatters, burning zombie flesh and cutting off limbs

and this, near the top middle you can see a plant growing through a solid concrete bunker, its amazing how life can grow almost anywhere...

Gameinformer is doing a month long spread on it. I've read that it's going to be the longest Zelda game to date at between 50 and 100 hours, and I know for sure they've implemented some sort of weapon/armor upgrade system.

It's new wave RPG Zelda son.

I would be interested in it if there was ANYTHING on the Wii I would want to play aside from the basic Zelda, Mario, DK releases. They haven't been enough to convince me to buy the console. I just wish Nintendo would license them out to console manufactures that approve of halfway decent hardware / software.

^I play Wii via emulator for this reason. If I bought it I would be pissed right now, because so far I've only found about 4 games I'd play more than a few hours. I'm not spending money on a console that doesn't deliver, but I can still buy the games when a gem comes along once every 6 months or so... Pirate logic?? Maybe...

Gamecube wasn't all that bad though, the Wii remote is what made Nintendo's library go sour. They don't make enough actual "games" anymore, not memorable ones anyway.

Edit: And yes, Wii emulation runs VERY well even on my old computer which was like 6 years old. Twilight Princess, Smash bros brawl and even more advanced games all run flawlessly for me.

Can you throw me the link to said emulator sir?

Yeah hold on a sec. I'll send you a link for one that contains everything you need to run it, just gonna zip up my own folder so you don't have to go BIOS hunting. The emulator is called Dolphin and it will run both Gamecube and Wii games nicely (and in 1080p which the actual console can't even do).

I will warn that the interface is simple and self-explanatory, but you may need to do a setup before running anything for best results. Lowering your resolution will help if you get a bit of lag, and you will need to setup your controller. I set it up to play like a Gamecube controller (with mah USB Gamepad) personally since it's easier and works with most Wii games. If you want to do the whole Wii-Mote thing you can use your mouse as the interface or an actual Wii-Mote.

A couple simple pages to give you a better idea how things work if you want to know, or if you have an issue.

By the way, you may encounter my custom maps in Smash Bros Brawl since I am too lazy to delete them for the .rar, but most of them (with some experimental exceptions) are pretty good anyways so have fun:p

Alright here is the emulator, mostly setup except controller since that's your personal preference.
