:kickass: :worship: :OMG: :OMG: :worship: :kickass:

Seriously though it was fucking great. They had an extremely diverse setlist as well. They played songs And The Forests Dream Eternally all the way through to The Apostasy. The energy was throught he roof and Nergal was great fun. Some moments were fucking epic as hell. I bought a nice shrit too!

One of the opening bands was hilarious. As they were setting up I was worried because the vocalist was this 90 pound scene looking kid wearing a white belt. I expected some boring metalcore/screamo shit like the band before.

Then they started playing.

They turned out to be some sort of Brutal-Death/Grind band with excellent song titles such as Song about Satan, Chainsaw Cesarean, Zombie Minion and my personal favorite, Charmander vs. Bulbasaur. The tiny little vocalist put on a hell of a performance. He could do high shrill screams down to that uber deep rumble/burp grind thing. pretty damn entertaining.

Evil What was that band called?
Something along the lines of Only Ashes Remain. There are tons of bandds with that name on myspace but none are the band in question.
holy shit, I want that shirt!!!
:kickass:

What songs did they play from And the Forests Dream Eternally? It must have been "Pure Evil and Hate". I love that song.

It was indeed, Pure Evil and Hate.

They played that as the second song of a 2 song encore. The first one was a song about erections...

Oh, they were definitely scenester stuff.

I would not call them "good", just entertaining to watch. Most opening bands are a total bore,so these guys made me chuckle and provided some entertainment for a bit.

Most shitty scenester bands tend to be surprisingly entertaining in a live setting. I've seen tons of local bands of this ilk and I have enjoyed every one of them, but I hate all of their demos.
