I'll also agree to disagree with you Mr. Jake E. Lee.

Btw, progress is a farce.

Woops!

That's perfectly fine. As everyone else has mentioned previously, this isn't about converting other people to one side or the other. I'm just saying that life is really so much better for me when I don't have to carry any burden of not knowing the answer to every single thing.

Honestly, it's so absurd to me, I'm not even the slightest bit curious to entertain the idea -- other than having to repress what was shoved into our minds as children.

To me, it's almost a form of child abuse.

Well, that I will agree with 100%.

As I've already stated I pretty much don't believe in a godamned thing...and Im perfectly alright with that. Belief is a really strong word.

I was in the dairy aisle at whole foods over an hour ago, when something beckoned me to turn my head. Upon quarter strut, I was sent back in to pasteurization of yesterday by the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Ever have one of these moments? Good Christ, my heart fibrillated.

Living proof that there is a GOD!

I personally would love to own this shirt. Just to piss off the annoying religious types.

Stephen Diamond said:
Science, is the creation by humans of a particular paradigm and methodology for discovering truth and understanding reality. Hence it can never fully reflect the hidden face of humanity, its creator, in the same sense that a computer can never become fully human or know what it means to be human: however sophisticated, these machines will forever remain mere artifacts of humanity.

I hear a name ending in "Diamond" and this is the first thing my mind conjures? I think this really speaks to how I've fucking wasted my life.

But back on topic, let me play devil's advocate for a moment. For the self proclaimed atheists on the board, how can you expect proof for something illogical? How can you expect proof for a being that can do illogical things? Can the human mind comprehend the illogical? God can make a round triangle. Can we even wrap our minds around that one thing?

How can you expect proof or understanding of God? You say that the Bible has contradictions, you ask why God didn't make sure it was easily and correctly understood, etc but aren't you just framing this all in a very limited, human way?

but aren't you just framing this all in a very limited, human way?

As opposed to which other way? Since god does not exist, there is only the human way (outside of animals and plants or other 'inferior' lifeforms).

Non-atheists need to stop throwing other falsified and nonsensical parameters into the equation.

I'm not even asking for proof, I'm just asking for a fucking reason for me to even consider the possibility in a serious manner. Somebody give me a reason to seriously entertain the notion that miracles can occur beyond "you can't prove that they can't." You can't prove that gravity is permanent or that the sun will rise tomorrow either.
