I just got Panzer Division Marduk and I think it's great. I can see why a lot of people dislike it though.

I have heard this term thrown around about Marduk and 1349 who are two of my admittedly tiny library of black metal. What exactly does it mean?

That album is pretty damn weak... Nightwing and Heaven Shall Burn are better.

I hate this, too (though it really goes with the aforementioned hatred). I listen to black metal for some mind-expanding atmospheric landscapes, not a bunch of under-produced half-assed buzzsaw guitar wankery.
