The lyrics don't mesh with the storyline of the film, so I can understand why they did that.

they've been doing it ever since the 1980's cartoons.

not many people realise that the song is about Iron Man going crazy and killing everyone.

but will go see the film.
Margret from the movie show actually gave it 4 1/2 out of 5.

I always thought that the "travel time" part precluded a link to the original Iron Man.

I couldn't even link "Giant Robot", or Gigantor to those lyrics...they were great kid's shows.

The lyrics to "Iron Man" have nothing to do with the superhero, or any other fictional iron man: "He was turned to steel/In the great magnetic field/When he travelled time/For the future of Mankind".

I fucking loved Gigantor as a kid.

Mainly because it's about a great big iron man who runs around killing people until they figure out how to stop him, and he doesn't move again until he's required to save the earth.

In fact, when I heard they were were making an Iron Man movie, that's the first one that came to mind.

Although now I've looked at the lyrics properly, I can see that I'm wrong about that. Funny how you can go for years with the wrong idea when the correct one is sitting there staring you in your face. Or coming through your headphones, at least.

Yes all true, but they still used the music from the song "Iron Man"

If the movie was nothing like the song, why use the music and fuck a perfectly good song.

When they started to play the song Iron Man I was expecting the full song as it was/is the original sound track to "Black Sabbaths Iron Man", so I kinda felt ripped off in that respect.

Was it because they didn't wont to pay any royaltys on the song but just the music..Hmmm...
