So how about a thread where all the regulars (and new folk) can come and just talk, instead of having to get off topic and so on?

So anyways, whats everyone been up to lately?

I've just been working (Sam's Club food sampler dude), going to school, and bowling

Just lost my job on Friday. 6.5 years with the company and they kick me to the curb.

Have my resume to 3 insurance headhunters/search companies. I'm off to Panama City Beach on Thursday for 5 days of pre-scheduled R&R before hitting the job hunting hard.

What kind of work do you do?
You know I am with the Company that says "You're in Good Hands" right?

I might be in need of some folks with SAP experience, specifically from the financial side.

Yeah, I guess that's mainly my issue at the moment. My car is at 185,000 miles, so I know I'm going to be in the market for a new(er) one soon. My debt has to be somewhere near 40k now...

I'm sick of not having money haha.

Yeah, I was down to zero credit (I got a credit card with a $200 limit, enough to get me through graduation weekend). I drove an '89 Mustang Hatchback with no heater or a/c. My debt was about the same as you. That's definitely enough to make a person sick of college. Looking back though, it still was pretty awesome. I actaully had some form of social life. Now I golf. That's about it.

Where do you live now?

I've been in Vegas since August, though I might visit Chicago in the summer, and definitely will be in LA for a good amount of time as well.

I'll be attending UNLV and majoring in Psych and then hopefully will go on into a doctorate program after I get my BA. Hows college and whatnot going for you?

And yeah the reason I'm staying in Vegas is cause of much cheaper college costs than going out of state.

Uni of Cali Riverside gave me a $13,000 grant, but the tuition there is $31,000 or so not too good :erk:

Commercial insurance agent. I was with a small brokerage in Deer Park. I'm looking for something in Lake County or northern Cook (as far south as Schaumburg/Skokie, etc. or anywhere along 94/294). I was actually going to check your company's website after my trip to see if they have any positions online for that building right off of 294.
