Because neo-classical IS a genre of metal, dumbass. What do you call stuff like Yngwie Malmsteen? Anything that heavily incorporates neo-classical influences into their music is, obviously, going to be neo-classical. Research it sometime.

I like to keep everything simple..I believe that
traditional(includes power/speed <--), folk, black, death(includes grind and melodm), and thrash are the only true subgenres right now.. nothing else is worthy of a subgenre. let's not speak of power, viking, grind, etc..
