The Paranormal Thread

I'm interested to hear some of you peoples 'ghost stories', I've never had an esperience myself. One part of me wants to have an experience, the other part doesn't because I'll be freaked the fuck out. Well, maybe not if I'm with someone else, but the fact that I pretty much spend all my time by myself would make that unlikely.

True that the majority of ghostly experiences are psychological, drugs, alcohol, whatever. But I just can't imagine all those grandmas that claim they have seen the virgin mary high on pot.

They were high on fundamentalism.

^I don't believe in all that either, but tons of people have seen ghosts all over history. I just think there's too many people that have had paranormal experiences to discard the possibility that they're telling the truth.

I agree with what you said. I'm very interested in the paranormal and ghost activity but am an agnostic when it comes to these thigs, no I don't believe in it, but something is up and I' not sure what it is, hopefully in the near future science can get this figured out and we'll really know what ghosts are if they exist. My guess is an illusion.
I don't believe in an afterlife myself but who's to say if ghosts exist they are souls of dead people, that is just a theory and I've noticed a lot of ghost hunter/paranormal peole tend to bring their religous beliefs into thier theories, like having exorcisms and basically jumping to conclusions way too fast

Uh.. what is science supposed to be figuring out? Why thousands of nutjobs keep making up bullshit stories all the time?

Anyway, there are already plenty of scientific explanations for all the various sightings, experiences, etc. of this kind. The human brain is capable of all kinds of self-deception.

Okay so explain a pile of children's toys lifting up off the ground and floating around in the air. It happened at my house.

There has to be a scientific explanation to it. Whatever they are, they are subject to the laws of physics. If they exist, there has to be a way of finding out how, although that would really spoil the magic.

I don't even consider the people that mix religion into all this stuff. Wish they get fucked by a horny ghost.
