Did my first unbound shots, really cool but pretty hard.
Shot a pic of my gf in my office-room, no clue why, but the light looked pretty cool imho.
Strange thing, it was next to the window, natural light and it wasn't dark at all in the room.

The quality itself could be better, would have loved to get me an EOS650D but Canon didn't
want me to get it... Still undecided if I should just buy the 700D, my 400D is ok, but I need
more :D

I've seen some amazing shots in this thread. There's some real talent here.

My wife and I just picked up a Canon t3i last week. She is going to use it mainly for her natural light studio where she photographs children. But I figure i'll mess around with it a bit too.

Here's a shot I took the other day after a guitar tracking session. I was playing around with the new nifty fifty we got as well. This lens sure does get some beautiful bokeh.

Alright, i need some help from you.

I took pictures at a small festival recently with a Nikon D5100 and a Nikon 24-70mm F2.8. Everything was shot in raw. The lighting was really bad for photography but i have a few shots that turned out "ok". The pictures looked great in the camera but whenever i load them into Lightroom they have horrible color clipping:

When i loaded them into Lightroom the first 3 seconds of the image were pretty good, but when all data was loaded the clipping showed up.

Is there any way to fix/repair this? I know i can convert them to black and white, but some of the images aren't that strong in black and white.

arvoitus - have you got Lightroom set to apply some kind of RAW camera profile upon import? Check the bottom tab on the right in the Develop panel labelled "Calibration" to see this?

I really like how some of these pics of my new bass came out, especially since it was a very quick job:

...and quite possibly the closest I've ever got to "perfect."

The model is Mellisa Night, and she's appeared in Maxim Canada. I gotta say, she's an incredible subject to shoot!

Probably going to be creating an "SMG Calendar" for 2014, with these types of shots, except models will be holding guitars/mics, that sort of thing. Should be a lot of fun!

Hell fucking yes, this completely solves the issue! Thank you Nolly, this saves about 75% of the images i took that day.

Damn, i have been using lightroom for over a year now ... how come i did not know of this setting?

Dat' ass

I love Lightroom and for some reason it always does something to my raw (.NEF) file uppon import. When I first import it, after a second, when the preview is fully loaded, I see something equivalent to reducing luminosity + maybe saturation by a few % applied, and I see no Calibration profile

By the way, Lightroom is just one of the most wonderful softwares I've ever used, it's just almost perfect in my opinion.

Edit : LR question, how to apply to a whole set of pictures a copy of edits ? I can only do it picture by picture, while sometimes I would like to apply them to say a whole series shot with the same angle with the same light at the same time of the day ?
