The Power of a Royal Carnage review compels you...

"Royal Carnage - Kindergarten Cop´s Toughest Job"

It´s astonishing to see that nowadays even children who are still in their anal phase have got their own computer and internet access. But even more astonishing is the fact that they already are able to type down entire words! I guess that´s the United States, always miles ahead of the rest of the world: children already attend school at the early age of 2 - starting off with lessons in "Filthy language", "Insulting" and "Harassing".

You know what i don't get is why people come to other forums and insult those there when noone caused any harm or any transgression towards the poster in question. In this case it's Burkhard. Why come here and sling insults around and try to generalize a group of people into essentially "Kindergarteners from the US who's educational status remains in question due to their locale". While i'm new to this forum i know that not everyone is from the US and therefore you are insulting those who are not by lumping everyone into one category which shows your own ineptitude to and ignorance toward someone's opinion which has nothing to do with you personally in addition to those that do reside in the US. If you received a personal attack then all well and good but maintain your ill will to those who did the mud slinging and leave everyone else alone. Your favorite band was trashed? SO WHAT, let them defend themselves if they so choose to, they're big boys and girls. I have favorite bands trashed all the time but i could care less. Noone else opinion on the music i listen to will influence me to like or dislike them. It's criticism, albeit crude, but accept it. Their words have no profound impact on your personal life. Grow up man and know that not everyone shares the same opinion about everything. The world would be a rather dull place if that were the case :Spin:

You know, it's really nice to have you around the forum Dark Chapter. Although 90% of my joy stems just from the fact that you love Danzig. :Spin:

Burkhard, it's nice to have you around too, but I do think you're taking this thread a bit too seriously. Besides, Monika herself stopped by the forum a few times and held her own just fine. :)

hehe why thank you! i'm glad someone does :) I've liked Danzig/Misfits/Samhain for years... hmm... i'm 28 now... so 14 or 15 years i've been into that stuff :Spin:

@Dark Chapter: First of all, my post wasn´t addressed to "everyone", but those who still seem to be in their "anal phase". Second, it´s not about favourite bands being thrashed. I know very well that not everyone shares the same opinion about everything and I definitely don´t expect everyone to do so! It´s about that implying that it would be good news/funny if a vocalist you dislike killed herself is simply tasteless! It´s like saying: "This world would be a better place, if she was dead, because her voice sucks." I know that JayKeeley´s wording was different, but some people seemed to find the thought of Agnete Kirkevaag killing herself very entertaining. Third, JayKeeley´s way to compare Monika´s vocals to "getting arse raped by two dudes" and Agente´s vocals to "getting arse raped by three dudes" wasn´t funny at all, either (as well as some other posts in the same vein). It sounded like: "Oh, you got arse raped by two dudes? Cheer up, it´s still better than listening to Agnete Kirkevaag´s vocals!" or "Oh, you got arse raped by one guy? Still better than listening to Monika Edvardsen´s vocals!" and people just start laughing their heads off. It´s pouring out sheer contempt, like saying that these two vocalists deserve to be held in contempt just because of the way they sing.
Finally, does the music of Madder Mortem and Atrox have any profound impact on the personal life of those who criticise it? I could as well say: "It´s vocals, albeit crude, but accept it." You tell me to accept their criticism, but don´t want to accept mine? Is this a one-way road? By the way, if there was a rule that you may only post about things which have a profound impact on your personal life, the vast majority of threads on UM would have to be closed down immediately - including this one.

How do you know the world WOULDN'T be a better place without the vocals of said female?

I thought it was damn funny!!!!!

And yes, listening to ATROX makes my anus hurt, much like being raped by 3 dudes I suppose.

:OMG:

ehh ok Burkhard, You did not hand out criticism, you posted a direct attack and without ponting out a target or direction for your words then your post was in fact towards everyone in this forum. Tasteless to some, not to others. I could care less either way since the band doesn't interest me, but taste is subjective therefore subject to one's personal interpretation or likes/dislikes. Let's not forget that this is the internet, the new age form of entertainment for a lot of people. Entertainment which again is subject to personal tastes/usage. Example, you watch a tv show, it's your fave. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion whether you agree or not and whether you agree with the form the opinion takes shape or not. You did not state an opinion other than your perceived view upon the members of this forum. If you're going to state an opinion, please do some fact gathering before doing so. I know i try to :) As for the music affecting peoples personal lives, HELLO! Look at your typical Goth/Darkwave listener (not all however fit into the category mind you). They dress and live in the style of the music's creators. So yes music can and does have a pround effect upon SOME people. In closing, where did i state anything that in order to post you must ensure that what is written MUST be able to be carried over and utilized in real life? I didn't

Hope that clears a few things up and no i don't speak for everyone here. They are more than capable of handling themselves and would not want to demean anyone by assuming that my views are shared by all. After all that would be rather naive. Take care and relax a little!

Listen, you moronic stereotype-spewing asshole from Germany (how's that, good enough for you?), if you had even ONE fucking clue as to what you're bawling on about, if you had ever BOTHERED to even check out Royal Carnage before this travesty over your favorite band, you'd know that JayKeeley isn't EVEN FROM THE UNITED STATES. Jack-off.

Bend over, you've been e-raped.

You know, that made me laugh quite hard. To be precise, I almost pissed my pants.

I'm trying to assume the position of silent watcher here but I must say I find this whole (non-)issue quite hilarious.
