The "Random Bullshit" Thread

I'm a bit freaked out. I received the opportunity of a press/backstage pass for a gig this summer and it's the first time I'm dealing with something like this. I don't know anything about this shit. Am I supposed to ONLY stay backstage during the gig? I don't want that, you can't watch the actual show when you're backstage. I also assume you don't need a ticket for that show anymore, considering you've got a pass, but what if they ask to see my ticket even when I have the pass? I have no idea. I dunno if I should be excited or worry about how I'm gonna be forced to stay backstage while my 15 year old cousin has to stay in the crowd by herself. Dunno.

it all depends entirely on what type of pass. AAA you can go wherever you want, backstage, in the crowd, anywhere. VIP, may have restrictions, you can go in the crowd, but you can only go backstage if you're escorted with someone with AAA for example. General guest list means you get in free but can only go in the crowd. If you've got any pass, you don't need a ticket. Press pass usually just let you into the press pit in front of the crowd for the first few songs, then you can watch from a specified area or in the crowd

Thanks regje and Katie! :) I suppose I've got an AAA one, according to the fact there's apparently "press accreditation, schedule interviews, photo pass and access to the conference area". Well, at least I know I don't need the ticket I had already bought some time ago anymore, so I can sell it. :D Thanks for clearing things up for me!

A college of mine got hit by a car today, it's terrible. Almost broken everything, suffering from severe brain damage and internal bleedings. I hope he survives the night, but the chances are very slim. Only 16 years old...

Well he went to work on his moped to call in sick, he was going to the doctor so he deceided to stop by at work first. His chef wasn't there at the time, so he left a note to him: Hey i'm really really sick, so i'm very sorry i can't work today. If i'm better by saturday i will work on that day instead of today.

Well and then he went home and somehow, reason still unknown, he got on the wrong side of the road and had a frontal collision with a car. 2 chefs from my work went to the place of the accident (just 200 meters further) and when they came back they said it looked very very bad.

That's awful, I'm sorry to hear that!
I remember when I was in elementary school, I had this classmate who died in a car accident right after she had turned 13. Tragedies like that really stir one within.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend Dennis *hugs*

And thanks Andreas, not exams but two years of essays crammed into 5/6months...do your work when your teachers tell you too!!
