The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like

I went and saw Sleepytime Gorilla Museum last night and it was pretty fucking sweet. They played 3 new songs titled at the moment, "Blue Guitar", "The Salt Crown" and "New One". great stuff...and I got a shirt for ten bucks!

Well, there is a trad thrash band with the same name from Poland, but I like the Portuguese one a lot better.

Indeed. The Polish band it pretty standard, run-of-the-mill stuff.

Currently loving these:

Altar (swe) - Ex Oblivione
Cartilage - The Fragile Concept of Affection
Carbonized - For the Security
Asphyx - The Rack
Faustcoven - The Halo of Burning Wings
Tulus - Pure Black Energy
Vintersemestre - Jääverisaatana

Blood in Our Wells is quite a good CD. I think they might have gotten a bit carried away with the soloing, but the riffs are very powerful and the atmospheres are strong. I'm starting to see where the the "cinematic" aspects are coming into it.

I still haven't heard that whole album, only a couple songs, but I was impressed by what I heard.
