The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like

at first it was only a few bands (Neurosis, CoL, Isis, and Earth I guess if you can lump Earth in with them), but in the past few years, the Post Hardcore sub-genre has seen a good deal of new bands since Cult of Luna and Isis have been gaining in popularity

that's what I'm hoping. I mean...other bands coming into the scene is not a bad thing...but the fact that there were so few is what made them (and the music) special. I don't know.

I've just received Solstice - Halcyon through the post today. I wish to state freely, right here, right now, that Solstice are now in the #3 position of bands I wish would reform and record.

Neurosis 'souls at zero' is one of the most unconvential metal albums of the early 90's. You can't even put a lable on neurosis because for a decade they do something different every album and are leaders at what they do. I have not heard the first or second albums but everything after from the band. Times of Grace is one of my favorites. I would call this record ambient doom.

I have come to conclusion that Phlebotomized's Skycontact album is completely fucked...in a good way.
