I think they made the video when their van broke down and they went to get it fixed. decided to set everything up while it was getting fixed and did the video. lol

That is awesome.

I don't get how people can hate Opeth. You don't have to like them, but there's no reason to HATE them.

sure there is. they re popular and on a major label. haven t you noticed how things work around here? not always fair is it?

Candlemass = Supreme

surely but how does solitude aeturnus compare? i ve had trouble findin a place to buy any of there stuff other than on amazon and they re charging an unbelievable price.

Solitude Aeternus is not average. The band (especially the first two albums) are absolutely fantastic, and Rob Lowe is an incredible vocalist. It's just that Candlemass is that much fucking better.

yeah i heard the vocalist is quite good as well. do they play doom in a candlemass/sabbath sort of fashion? and how about St vitus? are they worth a listen?

The first two are similarly high quality, the first slightly leaning toward a more standard DM sound, though the drum sound is awkward.

Am I the only one here that really enjoys the new Dissection. I have heard a lot of negativity surrounding the record. The guitar playing and song writing is outstanding imo, and jons vocals are easily his best to date.

It's surprising how he maintained being such a great guitarist in prison. His playing is classy as hell on this record and his songs really powerful. I love old dissection but don't think he was finished as a musician, and enjoyed the new direction.
"Reinkaos" is most enjoyable for me.

i enjoyed it as well and im kinda of suprised that you do as well as you seem to be more of an old school technical kinda guy.i would have expected you to find this boring as most of the old school death fans find melo-death style stuff lame. i look at this disc as being a transitional and experimental kinda record and that if he made a follow up it would be a more realized and distinctive album that more people could have appreciated. i do think that he was moving in the right direction though.
