I like a few metalcore bands but the genre in general has left me unimpressed. What bands were you into?

This was basically from the end of 1996 through 2002. So I liked Hatebreed, Candiria, Earth Crisis, Snapcase, Buried Alive, Shutdown, Madball, Inhuman, Sick of It All, VOD, Tripface, Strife, Bloodlet, Shai Hulud, Ascension, etc.

Not related to metal in any form but I listen to Basshunter quite a bit lately. It's so retardedely joyus that it's awsome to listen to. I suggest anyone spinning his new CD LOL just for kicks. It's hillariously retarded.

Metal-wise, I am quite enjoying the class Bathory album Blood On Ice. The album is a fine example of proto-viking-esh-metal (I'm not sure whether to consider viking metal a genre though :S).

I would go see the show if they (Amon Amarth) were playing in Toronto, but for some reason they skipped playing there and are only doing some Quebec shows.
