I know we were talking about Satyricon only a short time ago, but I never really got into them all that much, but I'm again listening to DMT and its amazing how much better this album is than anything else they released (that I've heard anyway).

trad doom metal albums that have been kicking my ass as of late:

Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus
Mael Mórdha - Cluain Tarbh
Cathedral - Forest of Equilibrium

I don't listen to much trad doom, since most of it is bluesy and stoner-ish, and very little of it is minor and dark like these albums.
