The Thread Where You Talk About Music You Like

Very, very good. I recommend "Forgotten Songs" in particular. It's close to being a non-metal "Thousand Swords", which should be a concept that tickles anyone's fancy.

hell yeah. :kickass:

Blessed also kicks the shit.
Depends on what you like.
It is (vaguely) a mixture of Black Metal in the direction of Emperor mixed with some kind of "Gothenburg" sound.
It is original, not plastic-like and rather good.
I recomennd the first album if you want to get any, but the second is also rather good.

Search the thread for Ildjarn, your question was asked before. Sort Vokter > Ildjarn though.

Anyone got any folk music recommendations from outside the realms of metal?

Any opinions/descriptions on the following bands would be appreciated:

Suicidal Winds
Besatt
Sarcophagus (US)
Wolfthorn

Ah, I have a Suicidal Winds album somewhere. I recall it was somewhat decent Massacra-ish DM, but it's been a while so I might be wrong. Sarcophagus are decent for a few spins, they're a bit hit and miss but nothing too inspiring. I had a Besatt song once but it mustn't have impressed me enough to make me pursue them. Don't know Wolfthorn.
