Top 5 Simpsons season 14 episodes:

3. Bart vs. Lisa vs. the Third Grade
4. The Dad Who Knew Too Little
5. The Bart of War

Now that I've seen all his talkies at least twice...

5 worst Hitchcock films:
1. Downhill
2. The Manxman
3. The Ring
4. The Paradine Case - yawn, apparently even Hitch was bored making this one. Still, we're now into the 6/10s already as he was that good.
5. Sabotage - somewhat miserable as it's not good enough to justify having the kid do the messy work

The rest of his silents and other early movies all have their charm, even Juno and the Paycock.

5 I found better upon rewatching:

Under Capricorn - Better now I've woken up to Ingrid being one of my favourite actors, at least once her character wakes up from her daze about 45 minutes in. She alone more than makes up for the characters Sam and Milly both being excruciatingly unlikeable at times. I have more dubious feelings about Spellbound even though I rated it the same (story a bit ridiculous).

The Lady Vanishes - The confines of the train is a superbly tense setting

Dial M for Murder - Clever plot and gets better with each viewing as you're less bamboozled trying to keep track of all the keys

Shadow of a Doubt - I'm much less bothered by the elements I disliked now I know to expect them

Blackmail - Before the 1920s are out, we've already got a Hitchcock film climaxing atop a major landmark, quite incredible really

Must've been ages since I saw Psycho - could've done with more exploring of the creepy house and less of the psychiatrist at the end. But the only one that wasn't as good as I recalled was probably To Catch a Thief - not a hell of a lot going on, and some of it is confusing. Eg. I got irritated by the red herring of the beach club employee appearing important/suspicious.
