so THIS went down today in NYC.

isn't there some code for pilots where if shit happens you have some sort of duty to at least try to help out if you are uninjured?

the freaking guy was literally doing the backstroke to shore as the first one out. 3 others made it too, and 1 woman was trapped in the chopper unable to escape. mind you the freaking chopper was floating for a few minutes before it went down.

who I am to say ... just strange for a pilot to "take off" like that and save his own ass first.

so I am watching Gene Simmons' Family jewels (don't ask) and there is a bit in it where he visits his mom in NY and she is yapping in Hungarian with someone. had no idea he was Hungarian.

anyway, looked it up some more and it turns out "KISS" was named after a hungarian word kiss actually pronounced (kish), which means "small" but also happens to be some sort of translation of his ... well ... here

His mother Flóra Klein (formerly Kovács) was born in Jánd, Hungary. The German name Klein (means: small) is sometimes used informally in Hungarian as Kiss, that gave the rock band's name
