oh, and i haven't listened to the Toby Driver solo album yet.

@Erik: What do you think of Tyranny of Souls? I thought it was kind of a letdown, especially considering BD last few albums.

btw, Sunwar the Dead is 2004.

Well, the cds I keep downstairs tend to be the ones I listen to most at any given time, and these are the 2005 releases I found there: (minus the ones i don't like)

Boris - sound track from film "mabuta no ura"
Nokturnal Mortum - Weltanschauung (except the Ukranian version, cant spell name)
Nightingale - Nightfall Overture
Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness
Reverend Bizarre - Crush the Insects
Slough Feg - Atavism
Clutch - Robot Hive/Exodus
Sunn O))) - Black One
Earth - Hex, or Printing in the Infernal Method
Witchcraft - Firewood
Thee Plague of Gentlemen - Primula Pestis

Still need to hear:
Burning Saviours - s/t (in the mail right now)
Centurion's Ghost - whatthefucksitcalled?
35007 - isuckatalbumnames
Brant Bjork - Saved by Magic

and there are about 9 million other things i still need to hear too, i just forget them!

Well, not a letdown per se, I hadn't EXPECTED anything as good as TCW or AOB because Bruce has nothing left to prove now that he's back in Maiden (i.e. he's not trying to outdo Maiden any longer), so... I think, however, that taken for what it is it is a quite solid heavy metal album.
Entirely agree.

There are so many solid albums this year, I'm going to have a terrible time making a list.

I still have several albums to listen to, so my list will have to be later.

I know how much you guys all eagerly await my list. Please be patient. It will come . . .

I'm not prepared yet. Still rounding out my list. The Top 5 will probably include Nevermore, Primordial, Redemption, Circus Maximus and Kamelot, though not necessarily in that order.
