J, is Heol Telwen coming out this year? I have the new Falkenbach on order right now, and am perusing sites for the new Thyrfing...

It's out. I know of one person I can get it from, but I refuse to pay for the exchange rates.

Red Stream will be getting it in soon.

A tad early perhaps, but my final list will probably include albums from these bands/artists:

Deathspell Omega
Bruce Dickinson
Primordial
Nachtefalke
Graveland
Nokturnal Mortum
Drudkh
Bolt Thrower
Taake
Dark Tranquillity

A ready list will be posted on New Year's Eve or january the first.

I'm unprepared for this task, there have been some great albums but my tastes have changed drastically enough that any standards I'd use to rank and measure albums have been rendered useless...2005 will be one of these years that can only be assessed in 3-4 years hindsight...
That said, Porcupine Tree and Nevermore are the clear leaders in the personal airplay list...

1.The Evpatoria Report - Golevka
2.Bohren & der Club of Gore - Geisterfaust
3.Overmars – Affliction, Endocrine… Vertigo
4.Red Sparowes - At the Soundless Dawn
5.Deathspell Omega - Kénôse
6.Sigur Rós - Takk
7.Lunar Aurora - Mond
8.The Ocean - Aeolian
9.Primordial - The Gathering Wilderness
10.Pelican - March Into the Sea

Gimme a 8.5/10 too overall.

2004 was better but this is really good !

I see that the Red Sparowes album is in you top 3. I just fail to see the greatness of that album...I'll give it a few more spins. Any highlights? Favorite songs?

Awesome list btw.

Highlights..? Everything's good to me .. maybe the first track? My personal favorite is number 4 (best passage of the album around 8:00)
