I suppose after the success of Doomsday they were able to command a bit more of a cash outlay and that could only be done by a dual deal that Elektra didn't think they got enough for. Without knowing for sure I reckon the dispute would have to be between the two labels rather than only one in particular. Maybe Elektra were holding out for something they never got, but at the same time it seems like a stupid thing to hold on to. I guess this is why labels are such a strange beast to most of us, we'll never know why they do the stupid things they do.

Not sure how I feel about this. Jeff really knows how to play his guitar and most of the recent Annihilator album would have been a heap better without vocals. Whatever comes with Metal II wont be Jeff on vocals and it will have Dave on drums. Is this a win or not?

I don't really know the originals. But I feel like Lombardo can only make things better.

I feel that anything Jeff does which doesn't include singing can be good.
I don't remember the first album either but it apparently had Mike Mangini and Paul Padden (Annihilator, vocals from 2005 and later guitars and vocals).
The songs on this one are nearly the same but it looks like one or two might have been replaced with new songs.

Oh damn. Mangini is really good.

Hmmm, for some reason I was thinking today was Exodus day, I'm even headed down the street soon, a trip that will include the record shop, but it's not out until the 19th. How rude! I was ready to buy it today!
Lucky Bonded is out today to make the trip worthwhile. I hope they actually have Bonded in, it's a bit hit and miss, being ex-Sodom, they might get it in but in this day and age I might still have to order it. :(

Maybe it is, and maybe it's not enough of a pay cheque so he has to do extra. Maybe he just likes doing it. But I also suppose it was probably remiss of me to blame him for not giving us Testament live, Eric and Chuck would more likely be the ones to blame.
