The what's going on in Thrash thread

It's almost like he's not listening to the guy. But at the same time he's very fidgety, and forgetful, some of the commentors blamed weed but I'm not sure that's what's causing it.
Maybe Justis wont let him have heat until the album sells...Elder abuse, it's real!! :)
At one point he tells the guy (in similar words) that he ignored the cancer when he talked about the time frame between records. Well I think Dave's spent so long making excuses they just come out automatically these days.

Dave got old and he does not look well, or healthy. Years of hard living, the tour life, plus the Cancer and its treatment may have been a hard hitter on his health. Based on that video I can't see him getting up on stage with any energy and playing an hour + set. I hope I am wrong, as much shit as we talk about Dave, it is tough to see a metal icon in decline. Can you imagine the monologues in between songs about random shit? If that video is any indication the crowds are in for some doozies.

Off topic - where is Dave during this interview? Is that an Alice in Chains record I see on the wall behind him?

Scary thought!

Sadly though I don't think he's the only one who believes whatever story they've made up in their mind. We all know dickheads like Niki Suxx and Tommy Pee expect people to totally believe everything they say happened. But while they are extreme bullshit artists there is people like Dave who either convince themselves that shit went down that way, or have been telling the same incorrect story for so long it's become fact in their mind.

I have wondered the same thing. There is video of him on the latest leg of the Metal Tour Of The Year and he doesn't look too bad on stage, but I haven't seen an entire concert to see how he shapes up after an hour. I'm sure he's got doctors and specialists telling him what he can and can't do but it would be sad to see his performances suffer too much.

Dave's monologues have always been weird random shit, what he is going to come up with now is anyone's guess :)

I was looking at those records and I couldn't make out the one next to Rude Awakenings. I presume the room is one of his offices at home.

Yeah true enough. Dave has gone a bit over the edge in the last few years, but he was always one of my favs and I hope his health continues to get better and not decline. Megadeth were the first band to take AIC on tour I believe. and he's always talked them up. I think he's at home for this.
When I saw him on the Countdown anniversary tour he went on a political rant that made no sense.
He didn't really say anything else. He was kinda in and out. It was depressing.

Did you watch all the way to the end of that video? He asks the interviewer what band he is in and the guy is like, I am not in a band. Then Dave says well you must know how hard it is to leave your wife and family for a while and go on tour, and the guy replies that he isn't married.

That was very confusing for Dave, but he did work out in the end that they guy had a cat, but by that time Dave's point was well and truly lost and he had to make his way back to it.

Hmmm I don't think we should joke about the Mustaine Compound, if it's not a thing already it will be soon :)
