Yeah I can't really figure out a reason for it either. I'm not big on buying autographed stuff, especially not something that isn't a collectable, but to me it's not a collectable with only one signature on it so I wont even consider it.

I remember seeing an argument on another site about whether buying tour shirts to gig you don't attend is being a good fan or a wanna be. Was an interesting argument, petty at times but overall quiet funny.

Yep a lot of them were, but when you're part of a forum thread that could easily get 300 posts a day it's not surprising some weird topics come up. It's more surprising that so many of them were civil and didn't end up in shit fights.

Not a terrible response but I'm not sure it was needed, although it's not like the media will let it go when they speak to these guys.

Album is out today (was actually in our shops yesterday) so with luck the media might focus a bit more on the actual album rather than the BS.
