I'm no fan of Phil but at the same time I think a band with only Tom changing isn't really a new band.

Some are saying they would have been the next 'big band' but while I don't think that's quite true I think they were a powerhouse of a band and Riley had a massive stage presence.

Apparently Metal Hammer are doing some sort of retrospective on Ride The Lightning, which is too long for me to read so I cherry picked something that Metal Injection cherry picked out of the whole thing.
We've found out the reason Gary works so damn hard and never seems to rest. Whenever he rests he stews over the fact that Kirk stole a riff and some lyrics and Gary never received a penny from it

Yeah he used the riff in Trapped Under Ice. But it's the Die By My Hand chants at Metallica gigs that seems to cut the deepest
