List some of your favorite whites and reds, where you drank 'em, good times, etc.

When it comes to reds, I'm a big fan of Chianti... My main table red is an Italian 2006 Ruffino.

Whites, I like most of the sweeter wines. My main white wine is a German 2005 Liebfraumilch Rheinhessen.

I don't have particular favorites from this winery or that one. I just drink whatever I think is good. Unfortunately far too many people over-oak their reds and even whites. Hard to find a cab that isn't tannin tainted. For my palate anyway. I like to be reminded I'm drinking wine that's fortified from grapes. Not wood. Too much alcohol is another taste killer too. Too much tannin and alcohol completely ruins it and it seems to be all to common unfortunately.

But anyway, I like my reds dry dry dry, and I like the gamut on whites. With whites I can enjoy anything from a really sweet Chenin Blanc to your driest Brut sparkling/champagne.

I find Chaucer's to be good. My personal favorite is Los Californios, which is local. They make good regular mead, and also orange mead and pomegranate mead.

For red, my fav' grapes are:
- Carmenére
- Shiraz
- Bobal
- Malbec

For White:
- Gewürztraminer
- Chardonnay
- Viognier

Basically, i like 'New world Wines'.
Australian, Chile and South African wines are the best.

I spit at box wine drinkers. There are good wines to be had under $10 a bottle. Box wine is a bum wine like Cisco to me.
