The worst band of all time!

Worst band ever....uhh, probably a band like Crazytown or New Found Glory. Certainly not Cradle Of Filth, y'see, the reason CoF can't be the worst band ever is because a) they possess talent as musicians that bands like the two others I mentioned don't have, b) because they have been in their time highly original and innovative, an accolade that again, the other two bands cannot lay claim to and c) Cradle Of Filth have lyrics that even most metal bands can't match.

Why don't any of you people think before you answer questions like this with the object of your dislike, and not your consideration?
 
I think it would be better to simply look at that "Bands you just hate" thread.
If I have to choose one right now it would probably be some boyband like Backstreet Boys, Westlife or shit like that. Even though I don't like Limp Bizkit for instance I would rather listen to them than to a boyband. The reason why is because I find their music gross. When I listen to it, it gives me this gross feeling. I also find it very cheesy, but I guess that's kind of the same.
In Denmark we also have that "popstars" shit and a guy called Jon won it. He's a fag! They should have called it "Fagstars" instead! His music is gross too. Pretty catchy, but that doesn't necessarily mean good.
I guess I could find some horrible 80's shit too, but I can't really think of anything now. Maybe Samantha Fox or shit like that.
The drum n' bass band Bad Company is also terrible, terrible, terrible!!!! Drum n' bass I think is the only genre that I can say that I 100% don't like it and Bad Company is probably one of the worst bands in that genre. A friend of mine is a major fan of that shit and he plays Bad Company all the time. Their music is 100% anoying. I can't stand that crappy drum rhythm that's in every drum n' bass song ever made. Bad Company is hardcore drum n' bass, so it's 100% anoying. They also have similar basslines in all their songs and they're all anoying too. All in all drum n' bass is only music I would if I wanted a headache!
 
Oh shit I haven't heard or seen a more annoying band than The Vines, fuck I hate that band :mad: the singer can't sing for shit and his stage antics don't help him either :rolleyes: I saw a post by some guy that said ''the vines are going to be the next Nirvana'' :rolleyes:

The vocalist is trying too hard to be like Kurt Cobain which is pretty damn sad. Actually, most of the bands in this "new wave" of rock totally suck just because they are piss poor rip-offs of bands like The Buzzcocks, Sonic Youth, The Rolling Stones, Nirvana, etc.

Man, is this a Dani Filth bashing thread or what? Cradle is the reason most of these bands are around. I think Dani's a genious. The later albums have shown some stagnation but there no denying the impact they have had on the scene. Is everyone just bashing them because they are popular now? I guess it's not cool unless you are True Cvlt 666 anymore. Dani's lyrics are unparalleled and his attention to detail is extraordinary. I STILL like Cradle as I have for the last 6 years and until they put out a product that actually IS shit, I will continue to listen to them. Like I said, were it not for them, I wouldn't be listening to half the stuff I have today. And those of you who DO bash should, at the very least, get a clue as to who is in the band before running at the mouth, er keyboard.

I'm done, just had to defend 'em.

I lived in Seattle when that gunge stuff was coming up. You couldn' go ANYWHERE in that state without hearing it. I got completely fried on all of it, so it made my list. Had I not lived there, my list would be entirely different. I burn out too easily on music and when I'm burnt and can't get away from it, it eventually ends up on my shit list. That's why Sonic Youth was there too. Just burnt...
 
Mortician - simplistic downtuned riffs just for the sake of heaviness, songs that are mostly horror movie intros with about 1 minute of actual music, a horrifically programmed drum machine....yeah, these guys are fucking great :rolleyes:

Meshuggah - pseudo-technical band that can't seem to make a song without boring one to death


Strapping Young Lad - Devin Townsend can surround himself with all the wonderful musicians he can, it still won't make his music less gay



The Haunted - a pseudo-thrash band that thinks they're thrash.......how pathetic

Music sucks, its rhyming for retards. All they talk about is sex money drugs and hoes, and they dress retarted. Did I mention it sounds like shit?

Blink 182 - Lame ass pop punk.
Sum 41 - Rip-offs of Blink 182 and they're posers wearing metal T-shirts. I would kill them if they wear a Sepultura one.
Limp Bizkit - No explanation needed for them.
Crazy Town - Rip-offs of Limp Fullofshit.
Linkin Park - Also rip-offs of Limp Fullofshit. I'm sick of the hype going around them.

Cradle of Filth is the reason most of what bands are around? Last I recalled I probably know alot more metal than you and I still know not 1 band who claimed CoF as an influence. :lol:

And what impact? In 1994 they came out, BM (the genre they claim to be a part of, but any idiot with intellect knows it's obviously Gothic Metal) was already on it's way up, Emperor, Mayhem, Burzum, Impaled Nazarene and many more all were already playing.

And Dani's lyrics are unparalled? Please, just because he writes in pompous English and writes about the same stuff many bands write about doesn't make him anymore of an intellectual, as a matter of fact he's not even that good of a debater, his Ego get's in the way. (Refer to Grimoire 'zine's interview for this one, Bill Zebub owns him royally).

By the way, just because they got you into many of the bands you listen to now is probably why you have such a biased opinion on them. I'm not going by any trends, I just happen to think their melodies really suck, his screachy vocals are horrible, the subjects he bases his lyrics on are unoriginal and/or just plain crappy, (The movie Midian was based on was complete garbage, appeals to loser egotiscal goths who think everything that happens is because of them, in a negative way.) and the long dragged out songs that repeat the same melody over and over are just plain redundant, and nonetheless suck.

So please, before you preaching some band to me saying "you don't know them" or telling the entire forum how "influential" they are please learn your facts, m'kay?
