I did. I can remember bringing home Going For the One when it was new, my first Yes record, and putting on the opening track and going "wtf" at Anderson's voice. Of course I was twelve and this was my first foray into prog, my previous purchases at that young age having focused on Ted Nugent, Kiss, and Alice Cooper. It took a few listens to Going for the One for me to appreciate the range of Jon Anderson's vocals. Been a fan ever since.

dude relax. this has nothing to do with "opeth" as it just is me trying to never "overrate" any band at all. i was merely stating that people around here tend to overrate Opeth...which is understandable. i dont know why you let yourself get in such a huff all the time over nothing. im here because i enjoy the band, and ive been here for years and look forward to some of the conversation about things semi related to the band or music similar to the band. is that such an abstract concept for you? breathe into a paperbag or something before you post next time.
