Psht. Mine is just a picture I took in Canada. I find it uplifting.

I can't be bothered with the whole desktop background nonsense anymore really. It was exciting back when I switched from DOS to Windows 95. Woo pictures. Nowadays I just use the least offensive Windows Vista default background. It's not like I actually see my desktop for more than two minutes a day or so.

Did you not have the Win3.1 phase?

Nope, skipped it. I had an XT with DOS 3.3 on it for many years and didn't buy a new PC until Windows 95 had just come out. I wasn't particularly aware of what was out there in terms of OSes (or even what an OS was exactly) at that time so I never bothered to install Windows 3.1 on my old one.

I've since briefly had the pleasure of using it when messing with an old PC that my aunt had lying around and came to the conclusion that I hadn't missed much, apparently.

I had Windows 3.1 for a while when I was a wee pup, and still think it is superior to Vista and the like. I think that Microsoft needs to combine the ideas in 3.1 and Vista, such as getting rid of the fucking start menu and making the desktop more important and useful.

However, I am satisfied with the Start menu in Vista. The search function in it makes life so much easier.

Some of you guys need to clean up your desktop. And, before I get flamed, yes I like the Matrix and I prefer Macs over pcs, so this described my feelings towards Windows/Microsoft perfectly.
