I took a bit of a gamble on this to save money on the pre-order and I'm very happy I did. I'm loving it already! So much depth to the tone and the feel seems very natural to me. It just feels easier to play which I think comes partly from the tightness of these amps.

Yea, it is a bit of a CPU hog but I'm willing to take the hit for the quality so I don't really see it as a problem.

It's obvious a lot of hard work and passion has gone into this, which is exactly why I'm happy to support indie developers like you.

Tried switching to full screen mode and now everything works! I guess the physical size of the plugin window was mucking up the Recabinet GUI. Still too tall for my laptop screen, but I'm sure there's a way to scroll or something.

edit: except the very top preset buttons, probably because it still isn't 100% on the screen.

How are you opening up the plugin UI? Are you clicking on the channel strip insert to open it in a new window?

If you press the FX button instead then I get scroll bars so try that.

How do feel the high gain against X50 and Emissary?

I haven't had much time playing with it yet but I did do a bit of A/Bing with x50 and honestly, as much as I love x50, it improves on pretty much everything it seems. It's something you really have to try yourself but when you start comparing them, the x50 becomes quite 2d sounding. It's like you are playing through an eq filter with your guitar where as Recabinet feels like both are connected. It reacts to everything and no matter how far you push the gain, it the notes are still clearly defined.

The X50 is still great and definitely has its positives but Kazrog wasn't hyping this thing up to create sales like was insinuated earlier in this thread. It really is a step up!

Right, here's a very quick comparison. One guitar only and the tone was tweaked using headphones. The first clip is Recabinet and the second is X50 V2.3. X50 starts at about 1:08 into the clip.

Don't take it to seriously, I will get round to doing a proper comparison tomorrow!

I'm encountering a bug with windows 7/reaper 64 bit Focusrite liquid Sapphire 56. As soon as i insert recabinet it makes a loud pop then a constant test tone sound emits. The test tone sound goes away when i change anything on recabinet. The master output shows the output level to be -12db even when there is no sound being produced. When i try to play through it seems as the output is extremely hot even when i have it completely dialed back. Also it keeps forcing the channel in reaper to mute itself.

Just tried it in Sony Vegas and got the same results minus the constant volume meter spike.

Wow, sorry to hear that! Please contact support if you encounter any issues. Maybe try a different buffer setting?

This may be the result of denormalization error prevention, but it will have to be looked into. We tested extensively in Windows 7 / Reaper 64 throughout development.

Did you pay via eCheck? It may not have cleared yet. This can be slow, and the server will let you one once it clears.

eCheck is a "feature" of PayPal. Sometimes they will default to that for no reason, even if you've picked another setting as your personal default.
