Thermionik Amp Modeler Plugin by Kazrog LLC

DAMN GREAT JOB Kazrog ! Great news for us who don´t have money for "HIS EXPENSIVENESSSSSS - AXE FXII or Kemper". My humble wish are real sounding "big 4 of AMPS" : Mesa Rectifier, Peavey 6505, Bogner Uberschall, Diezel VH4 (Peavey-checked- A\B test samples are already great). Thermionik sounds great! MY only problem now is waiting until you release it :) but that is my problem :)

Think B is the Thermionik this time. The bass response is a little boomier on A, and B has a tiny bit of that "whooshing" noise that appears on most amp sims around the 2000-4000 hz region, at least to my ears. Hardly noticeable, but that's my guess :)

I prefer A and I think it's the amp. It sounds a bit more wide while playing the chords and also has more dynamics in general. It's getting really close already.

A/ Amp
B/ Sim

This is sounding real ambitious so far but, It's hard to judge outside of a mix.
Maybe you can throw a quick one together with the 5150 fine tuned thus far?? Trailer just wasn't doin it for me but these clips sound pretty good.

Wow man, these are super close. I'm gonna guess here
A = Amp
B = Sim

Even then, I'm probably just biased because of what other people have already said.
My logic behind that was because A feels slightly more "tubey", although that could be because it has a tad more gain.
B has a scratchy type sound that's happening in the top end. Its almost like digital clipping but not quite.

Did a little match eq curve to so some differences and there was almost none.
Closed my eyes and clicked next a bunch on WMP so I didn't know which one I was which.
Both sounded really good.

IMHO A - Thermionik
B - Real
(palm muting sounds more focused in B, overall sound in B is more "open" than A i think :) )

I would say B is the amp
but then
if A is the sim its coming astonishingly close to the real stuff.
So tell me now how much longer do i have to wait for a SUNN emulation? :worship:

The real competition would be Real amp through mic'ed cab vs Thermionik through an IR of that mic position :)

I agree. I thought that this would already be the case for this comparison. Had to go back to read the previous post again.
