I dno, at the moment its alot better than it was some time back, i just miss the shoopings we used to do
EDIT: and no, postcount is importanté, i think its good that people should see who the regulars are and who arent. Viewer_from_nihil also said that people who are new here arent allowed to fuck with the regulars, but thats kinda logical. Its the same IRL. You can fuck around more with your friends, than with some randoms on the street AMIRITE? cause your friends (or on cobawwwt, the regulars) know from who it came. Amen, jesus saves.
Yea das ist true in a way, but I mean with almost all of the current regulars having post counts straight from hell, it's really, really, reallyreallyreally f*king hard to get in there. I mean take me for example. I've now posted regularly (meaning every day) for two or three months now, and look at my coust count. Then compare to you. And during those 3 months I've been posting as much if not even more than some of you guys, and does it show? No, didn't think so.
But I'm not saying that post count should be cut off or anything, no, that kills all the fun
but I mean have a section of the forum (say a sub forum in the COB-OT called Forum Games) in which the posts you make doesn't increase your post count. And in this section could be the oh-so-fabulous What are you listening, what are you doing, count to gazillion, 3-word story etc. threads. And I'm not saying there's anything wrong with those kinds of threads, they're kickass
, but if you think of them maturely, they're pretty much useless in the sense that they very rarely offer any kind of debate and/or even conversation.

You guys don't get it.
The ONLY point in postcount is how much you've been on the forum, a gross measurement of how much you contributed. The fact that some new guys try so hard to get their postcounts up, posting random-uncalled-for-worthless-meaningless-spam pretty much makes them MORE frowned upon. Wanna be respected? Post things that interest people, actually contribute, have fun, joke around. There's no need to have a behemothic post count, just take your time and people will accept you eventually - as long as you're not an idiot.
Sounds weird coming from the regular here with the highest postcount, but trust me on this: I've done plenty of mindless spamming in my days, and it didn't do me any good, other than making UM's servers a bit slower.

this is the other thing we "new guys" have to deal with, you call each others by first name making your account names pretty much useless when trying to identify who we're talking about...!!! Not that I über-hte it, but if someone could like briefly mention who is to be called what, so atleast I wouldn't get so confused from time to time??? Anyone?

Well when you don't know the names they tend to be posts that flash in bright clours screaming "look at me, you have no idea what I'm saying!!!", but since you're so used to it they just slip and you chances are don't even notice all of 'em.
I know Heartless is Joe, KillerGon is Gonzo or Gonzalo, children of COB is Jose, and I thinks that's it, that's why I chose my real name as username this time.
