Hi there, i just would just like to ask if you can recomend me any good thrash bands or albums. i'm looking for something in the vain of these following bands:

Dark Angel - Darkness Decends
Slayer - Hell Awaits
Sepulutra - Beneath the Remains

Incubus - Beyond the Unknown/Serpent Temptation (reissue)
Devastation - Idolatry
Morbid Angel - Altars Of Madness or Blessed Are The Sick

Those are some of my favorite thrash/death albums of all time. :headbang:

I already have Alter of Madness and Blessed are The Sick and they rock, need to check out the others though.

Well, If you haven't done so you should check out the bay area scene with bands such as Testament, Exodus, Heathen, Vio-Lence, MetallicA (Have you heard these guys? The albums before '90 are fucking amazing!) and so on. The general rule is: Earlier albums=better
Toxic Holocaust is a quite new band delivering some quality old school thrash metal terror.
And of course other albums by the bands you mentioned

Sindrome - Into The Halls Of Extermination (go to http://www.sindrome.net/ to download that and thier even more rare demo Vault of Inner Conscience )

Iron Angel - Hellish Crossfire

Exorcist - Nightmare Theater

Destruction - Eternal Devastation

Kreator - Pleasure To Kill

Hallow's Eve - Death And Insanity
Nuclear Assault - Game Over
Satan - Court In The Act
Onslaught - The Force
Devastation - Violent Termination
Blessed Death - Destined For Extinction
Post Mortem - The Missing Link
Sacrifice - Torment In Fire
Exodus - Bonded By Blood
Helstar - Remnants Of War
Anthrax - Among The Living

That'll keep you busy. It might be a real pain in the ass finding some of those titles but they're well worth the effort.

Nocturnal Breed - Aggressor

found this cd in the "2 for $5" today at FYE, so i dunno if it can be found anywhere else, but it's one of the best cd's i've ever heard.

Nasty Savage, how the fuck haven't anyone metioned Nasty Savage?
Their first albums (3 full lengths and an EP) from the mid and late 80'ties kick ass, especially the self titled debut and "Penetration Point".
The band reunited some years ago, and are actually kicking ass again, they have released a miniCD and are ready with their new full length "Psycho Psycho" now. And those 2 new albums have captured the ancient thrash feeling, superb! And then the vocals of Nasty Ronnie, godly!

A newer band which has capture the ancient feeling too, are the Dutch gods Pentacle!

Ohh, yeah, Demolition Hammer, think I'll go dust of the good ol' Epidemic Of violence", a true classic!

Yeah and what went wrong on "Timebomb"? I was kinda psyked to hear it, after they announced Alex Marquez as the drummer, I thought it was going to kill. But instead of classic DH death/thrash, they delivered some fucking groovy crap...

Exodus' Another Lesson In Violence / Bonded By Blood, Anthrax's Fistful Of Metal, grab some old Flotsam and Jetsam.

Vader is thrash? Could've fooled me.
No, Death aren't thrash either but the guy said he had Morbid Angel stuff so recommended stuff he might like.
What the fuck would you know anyway? You're on another thread moaning that a grind band has short songs! Some expert you are. :zombie:
