This thread is not about that band by whom I listened to "Sadness Will Prevail" yesterday

More about this being like the most exciting and eventful day for like 23982 days... It's 10 AM and in an hour I'm:

* Going to Piteå to do the entrance test for the sound engineer program which is FUCKING hard to get into -- this is a 2,5 hr car trip, 5 hrs round trip

* I'll be back JUST IN TIME for the first Lethal gig in over a year, we play with five or six other metal bands at a free event, it will rule and all

* After that I'll probably have to get drunk

And obviously I've gotten far too little sleep tonight 'cause I kept thinking "gee whiz I sure need to get some sleep tonight!" and then I laid around looking like this :yow: so right now all I want is to sleep but I'm sure shit will change as soon as the coffee sets in

So anyway, doing shit is pretty tough and wish me luck and take some last-minute flights to Umeå to see the Lethal Thrash Metal Attack live in action

Late at night all systems go
You have come to see the show
We do our best You're the rest
You make it real you know
There is a feeling deep inside
That drives you fuckin' mad
A feeling of a hammerhead
You need it oh so bad

Adrenaline starts to flow
You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac
Whiplash

Bang your head against the stage
Like you never did before
Make it ring Make it bleed
Make it really sore
In a frenzied madness
with your leather and your spikes
Heads are bobbing all around
It is hot as hell tonight

Adrenaline starts to flow
You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac
Whiplash

Here on the stage the Marshal noise
is piercing through your ears
It kicks your ass kick your face
Exploding feeling nears
Now is the time to let it rip
To let it fuckin' loose
We are gathered here to im and kill
Cause this is what we choose

Adrenaline starts to flow
You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac
Whiplash

The show is through the metal is gone
It is time to hit the road
Another town Another gig
Again we will explode
Hotel rooms and motorways
Life out here is raw
But we will never stop
We will never quit
cause we are LETHAL

Adrenaline starts to flow
You're thrashing all around
Acting like a maniac

I'm curious when I went for some universities for auditions, the sound engineers had to write them same test as us. It was music theory and so on, not an ounce of recording stuff, course it was just to find out what level youre at then the sound guys did an interview. Is this the same for you?

Music/Production is indeed tough shit to get into, I'm still awaiting a reply. I have better odds though for every applicant that gets in there is 6. So....:p but nevertheless HERES HOPING!

when I was checking out the Unversity of Alberta BMus requirements, you needed something like a Grade 6 in your instrument, a Grade 2 theory and I think a grade 2 or 3 for keyboards just to even be considered. And then there were auditions and tests on top of that.
